Why are there irrelevant, no-names starring in this show? Who were these presumed A-listers? I was only aware of the original Hype House members: Kouvr Annon, Alex Warren, Thomas Petrou, Vinnie Hacker, Larri Merrit, and Nikita Dragun.

Starting this series simply for giggles, my initial thoughts on these self-proclaimed celebrities changed immensely, and not in positive ways. Profiting off their popularity, Netflix signed a deal with “Hype House” to create and produce a TV show documenting these influencers’ lifestyles. Views on their posts skyrocketed as fans begged for more enticing drama. Immediately, they swamped viewers into a pool of begging for more action and entertainment. Not too long after, the drama began to fill up my Twitter notifications: “Chase Hudson cheated on Charli D’Amelio,” “Nikita Dragun blackfishing,” and “Addison Rae’s new boyfriend?”
In December of 2019, a group of TikTokers and self-named “influencers” compiled their money to invest in a house where all the members could collaborate to create content for their various TikTok, Instagram accounts, and YouTube channels. The new house is a 12,000-square foot estate with all the luxury facilities you can think of.
However, in June 2020, the group moved to a new location in Hollywood Hills after some complications, and as all the previous Hype House gang have repeatedly shown, they don’t exactly take their luxuries lightly and this was proven by their new place. Sited in L.A.and established in December 2019 shortly after the rise of the app, the Hype House started in a huge Spanish-style building that gave a view of the entire community. Now listed on Netflix, the docu-series follows the lives of a group of TikTok influencers and shows the world the hard work done behind the scenes to create the videos that have us on TikTok all day. Ever since TikTok started to take over social media, it's helped a lot of people go from regular to super famous and an advantage of that is becoming part of its elite houses, one of which is "The Hype House." In general, there are a lot of different TikTok "houses" that have aided most influencers in rebranding their content and landing major deals, but out of this large number, the TikTok Hype House has repeatedly been at the top for a while now.
